ST. PETERSBURG, Nov 16 (PRIME) -- A district court in St. Petersburg has received a request for arrest of President of beer brewery Baltika Denis Sherstennikov and Vice President Anton Rogachevsky on accusation of a 300 million ruble fraud, the united press office of the courts of the city said on Thursday.

"The Vyborgsky District Court of St. Petersburg has registered prosecutors’ request to apply a measure of restraint in the form of detention of Denis Sherstennikov and Anton Rogachevsky accused of a crime under part four of article 159 (Fraud) of Russia's Criminal Code," the statement read.

According to the prosecutors, Sherstennikov and Rogachevsky illegally bought Baltika’s intellectual rights for Carlsberg Kazakhstan and Vista BY Co for 2023–2042 earlier in 2023 to allow Baltika to export goods to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and Belarus.

Russia earlier assigned the Federal State Property Management Agency the right to manage 100% in Baltika, part of Carlsberg Group.
